Job Summary

The Atelier Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the atelier by assisting designers, tailors, and production teams. The role involves garment preparation, fittings support, material handling, quality checks, and maintaining an organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Assist designers and tailors during garment construction and fittings

Prepare garments for fittings (steaming, pinning, labeling, alterations support)

Handle fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories carefully

Support cutting, stitching, and finishing processes as instructed

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the atelier

Track samples, garments, and materials

Assist with packing, dispatch, and inventory coordination

Ensure quality standards are maintained at every stage

Run atelier-related errands when required

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / Certificate in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or related field (preferred)

Basic knowledge of garment construction and fabrics

Ability to use sewing machines (basic level is an advantage)

Good attention to detail and neat workmanship

Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Experience

0–3 years of experience in an atelier, fashion house, or tailoring unit

Freshers with relevant training may also be considered
